Kazushige Miyake

Kazushige Miyake

Kazushige Miyake was born in 1973 in the Hyogo prefecture on the main Japanese island of Honshū.

After graduating from the Tama art school in Tokyo, Miyake moved to England. There he gained some experience in different design agencies before he moved back to Japan in 1999. After moving back to his homeland, Kazushige Miyake worked for renowned design companies, such as IDEE, IDEO and Naoto Fukasawa Design.

Miyake went self-employed in 2005 with his own studio, Miyake Design. Since then he has created a whole range of products, concentrating on furniture design and entertainment electronics.

Kazushige Miyake's small studio has now grown: today the Japanese designer now collaborates with Kota Kato, Ryo Tamada and Daisuke Ishigami on new designs.
