Founding story
The founding history of Jollein is closely linked to the family. The founder, Wim Smits Sr., was employed by a textile company for baby products that went bankrupt in 1973. With a family to provide for, Wim did not give up. He bought some beautiful rolls of fabric and took them to a sewing workshop in Friesland. The first articles were presented in a converted old bus - this is how the family business was born.
Innovative origins
The idea of the baby sleeping bag was born in the early years of Jollein was born. Inspired by the standard onesie bags for babies that were widespread in Germany, the Jollein -studio developed the first patterns and brought the first real baby sleeping bag onto the market. To this day, the baby sleeping bag is one of their favorite products.
