"Form follows function" – this is probably the most well-known motto for designers and architects. In 1952 the Finnish designer Kaj Franck created the tableware collection Teema based on this principle.

Reduced to the Essentials

The designer himself calls Teema an "essential simplification" because he avoided using excessive ornaments and reduced Teema to the essential. The Teema collection is based on familiar and basic shapes – a circle, a square and a rectangle – which Kaj Franck found so irresistible that he took them as main topics when creating Teema.

Simple elegance and versatility characterise the tableware collection and have made it one of the most sought-after services in Scandinavia. Teema is frost and heat-resistant as well as microwave and dishwasher-safe. It can be perfectly combined with other tableware to create an infinite range of innovative and colourful tableware.
