Dorothee Becker, born in 1938 in Aschaffenburg, Germany, studied in languages before she went from London and Paris in 1960 to California and became creative. With her husband Ingo Maurer did she come back to Germany, and manages until 1989 successfully the shop Uten.Silo for good designed and practical tools of daily life and works creative until now.
