Tivoli by Normann Copenhagen
Normann Copenhagen introduces a new collection of design products in cooperation with Tivoli, the world famous historical amusement park in the heart of Copenhagen. For this collection, Normann Copenhagen took the rich cultural heritage of Tivoli as a starting point and created a completely new design brand. Launched as an independent brand, Normann Copenhagen stands behind every process of Tivoli from production to distribution.
Tivoli Gardens Amusement Park
Tivoli Gardens (simply Tivoli) is an amusement park in the heart of Copenhagen, founded by Georg Carstensen. The park opened its doors for the first time on 1 5. August 1843, making it the second oldest amusement park in the world. From the very beginning, visitors to the park have been inspired by its elegant and exotic impressions. Everyone who has ever visited Tivoli will agree that the park is really something special. Some visitors are attracted by the speed and excitement of Tivoli's rides and attractions, while others enjoy the gardens, the musical performances, the theatre and the bizarre mix of architectural styles; from small, old taverns to Asian building traditions and classic Danish design, Tivoli offers a wonderfully versatile source of inspiration. For example, the famous writer Hans Christian Andersen was inspired by Tivoli for his fairytale "The Nightingale". Walt Disney also came to Tivoli Theme Park a few times before he opened his world-famous theme park in California in 1955.
Always like never before
Tivoli founder Georg Carstens once said that Tivoli would never be finished. Until today this sentence is deeply rooted in the roots of the Tivoli philosophy and manifests itself in the continuous development of the amusement park and the Tivoli brand.
It was also in keeping with this motto that the idea of a collection of design objects was born, all inspired by the magical atmosphere of the Tivoli. As a modern and internationally successful company based in Copenhagen, Normann Copenhagen is the perfect choice for a collaboration with Tivoli. Together they combine Danish tradition with modern design influences.
Over 300 design objects
Inspired by the varied history and atmosphere of Tivoli Park, a comprehensive collection of design objects has been created, inspired by the colours and patterns, architecture, design, art and cultural traditions of Tivoli Park.
The Tivoli by Normann Copenhagen collection marks the beginning of a completely new design brand. The comprehensive design collection comprises more than 300 objects from the areas of lighting, textiles, tableware, perfume, figurines and home accessories, which will be supplemented and expanded over time.
