Paper napkins with underwater world

The Paper Napkins Sea Things Vitra are stylish paper napkins that make a great eye-catcher on the laid table. The pattern, designed by Ray Eames in 1945, shows an underwater world with starfish, jellyfish, algae and shells. With a slightly playful design, the underwater universe is a wonderful eye-catcher on the everyday or festively laid table.

Ray Eames submitted the design in 1947 for the competition 'The Competition for Printed Fabrics' organised by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The design received an honourable mention and was included in the exhibition 'Printed Textiles for the Home'.

The Paper Napkins Sea Things are made of airlaid cellulose.
