Chair with Saddle Leather and Wood
The Hunting Chair by Fredericia was designed by Børge Mogensen in 1950 and is the designer's first piece of furniture of wood and saddle leather. The seat and the backrest can be adjusted thanks to the solid brass buckles and the chair can be easily moved.
Design for the Hunting Lodge
The armchair was inspired by rustic chairs Mogensen saw on a journey through Spain and is a design for an exhibition of the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild which was themed "The Hunting Lodge". A modern element, however, is the seat of exceptionally low height, hanging above the ground and ensuring high comfort.
The framework of the Hunting Chair by Børge Mogensen for Fredericia is made of soaped oak and the untreated saddle leather. The rustic and natural materials develop a unique patina that becomes by and by more beautiful.
